Career Goals for 2025

Tips for Transcribers

From Freelancer to Small Business Owner

Hello, Reader!

This year is almost over, and you might already be thinking about your goals for 2025. I encourage you to set some career goals for yourself. As freelance transcriptionists, goals could include improving turnaround time and working for companies that offer higher rates or more consistent work. But if you want even more control over your career, think about starting your own transcription company.

Being your own boss can sound scary, but you already know the industry and the benefits far outweigh any struggles you might encounter along the way. You'll have more flexibility in your work schedule. You'll cut out the middleman by working directly for your own clients. You'll also get to set your own prices.

I started my own transcription business in 2010 and I'm eager to share what I've learned as a transcription company owner. In my newest article, you'll learn how to start a thriving transcription business in 2025. The article provides in-depth information on essential tools, marketing strategies, and industry insights to launch your successful transcription venture.

How to Start a Transcription Business

To accompany the article, I've also created a downloadable guide with even more tips, tools and resources to make starting your own transcription company easy. Download the free guide here ---> Free Guide to Starting Your Own Transcription Company.pdf

In 2025, I'll be offering an online course that will take you step by step through the startup process. I'll also be writing in-depth articles on how to run your transcription company successfully. Topics will include:

  • Creating a business plan
  • Effective marketing strategies
  • Finding your ideal clients
  • Expanding and growing your business
  • And So Much More!

In the meantime, let me know how I can help you grow in your transcription career. I want to provide information, tools, and resources that you find valuable. So if there's a topic you'd like to learn more about, reply to this email or connect with me on Facebook or LinkedIn.
